As we reflect on the past 2 years, we can say the Du Nord Foundation has been taken over by a quick changing landscape of challenges but, also by great hope. Our founders transformed a chaotic situation of racial injustice into a silver lining of hope that keeps growing.
The Du Nord Foundation has proven to be nimble and responsive to the challenges our community faces, the same way that our neighbors and the small business owner community has done so. We are all doing our best but as a community we have become stronger and able to DU more.
In just over a year of operations the Du Nord Foundation has been a resource to over 75 small business owners experiencing hardship after the 2020 civil unrest and not just that, we have nourished over 24,000 neighbors through our barrier-free food shelf, the Community Market.
I hope this report gives you a good snapshot of what we have been up to.
